2022 Recap
Hello friends!
I am so thankful for all of the great things that happened this year–and you have all been a part of it. You have all been so supportive of my dream to help people like you Take Control of Your HealingTM with cannabis. I am filled with gratitude, joy, and hope for a year where everyone can benefit from this plant.
Here are just a few highlights from 2022. Have a wonderful, safe, and thoroughly LIT start to 2023!
January Rebranding and launching Lucy’s Natural Remedies. I also joined the TikTok world– a bit daunting but kinda fun!
February Participate in Maryland NORML Town Hall Meeting. I also introduced my first bundled product for Valentine’s Day! Keep an eye out for this year’s deal
March This was a month of firsts! I was interviewed for the Explore Maryland Cannabis podcast AND the People Over Politics show with Councilman Martin Mitchell
April Ah, yes. Every cannabis lover’s favorite month! This year brought with it the National Cannabis Festival, National Cannabis Policy Summit, and of course WINNING Second Place for Best Hemp Topical at the National Cannabis Championship. I also started making connections nationwide, including Riley, aka Cannabichem.
May I started diving more into the Maryland Cannabis Community–and boy, they did not disappoint! MJ Connect listed us as a resource AND invited us to join their Cookoff. YUM!
June This was a slower month, which allowed me to focus on one of my passions: Cannabis Education. It’s been an honor being a guest lecturer at the different community colleges in Illinois. Isn’t technology awesome?
July As my education program grew, I realized there was a huge section of our community that was being ignored: Our Seniors. With help from Councilman Martin Mitchell, I’ve been able to reach out and teach our elders the wonders of this plant. This has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have had in 2022.
August The famous Jay Mills has been a supporter from the start. With her amazing events like Charkusherie, I’ve been able to reach out to so many in our community. Definitely keep an eye out for her events. Can’t wait for the next one in JAMAICA
September You know I had to go back to my favorite science conference, The Cannabis Science Conference! I wasn’t in the exhibit room this year, but it was great seeing old friends and learning about the newest advances in cannabis science. I also had the honor of participating in Americans for Safe Access’ event highlighting our veterans’ PTSD and how cannabis saves lives. If you haven’t watched #Unprescribed, you owe it to yourself so you can learn how to help our heroes.
October I had to celebrate my favorite month with my Third Annual Pumpkin Bong Tutorial! Plus, people have started noticing Lucy’s Natural Remedies! I was interviewed by Bukweetz AND invited to be a vendor at Mary & Main’s Patient Appreciation Day. Excellent!
November Ah, November. The month I was run over by a Subaru Outback. To commemorate the event, I introduce new packaging for Lucy’s Luck Lavender Salve. That wasn’t the only thing highlighted this month. Jessica, aka Cannabis Writer, can’t get enough of my Lucy’s Leafs Rolling Papers. Lucy’s Lozenges was nominated for Explore Maryland Cannabis Awards: Best Hemp Product in Maryland. Although I did not win, it was an honor to be nominated and amongst such big giants in the industry. Next year!
December Holy Moly, it’s December already! To round off the year, I was a guest speaker for Cannabis Nursing Solutions, a wonderful company providing science-based information and tools for those in the medical field looking to join the cannabis market. I also provided raffle prizes with all my products AND a free Learning with Lucy session for the Seborne House and the Explore Maryland Cannabis Legalization Party. But the biggest, most awesome part of this month? My products are leaving the interwebs and showing up in actual stores! The Pink Sloth is my first ever opportunity. You can find my salves there starting in 2023.
